Vietnam exported 2.916 billion US dollars of textile and apparel in May, a decrease of 8.0% year-on-year but an increase of 14.8% month-on-month. In May, Vietnam's textile and apparel were mainly exported to the United States, Japan, and South Korea, of which exports to the United States stood at $1.331 billion, accounting for 45.64% of the total exports, those to Japan reached $296 million, and exports to South Korea were $152 million, accounting for 10.13% of the total exports, 5.23%.

In June 2023, Vietnam exported textile and apparel products worth $3.06 billion, down 14.7% year-on-year but up 4.9% month-on-month. As of June, 2023, Vietnam's total textile and apparel exports reached $15.688 billion. The exports amounted to $7.171 billion in the first quarter, and $8.517 billion in the second quarter, resulting in a 14.04% year-on-year decrease and an 18.78% month-on-month increase in textile and apparel exports in the second quarter.
